I am based in Dubai, where I established my namesake consultancy in 2018, focusing on cultural strategy and publishing. I work on projects within the luxury sector (e.g. Loewe, Prada, Bulgari, Assouline), government entities (e.g. UAE Ministry of Culture, Abu Dhabi Global Market, Abu Dhabi Art, Department of Culture & Tourism – Abu Dhabi), private companies (e.g. Easa Saleh Al Gurg, PepsiCo, Pelham, Bain, Edelman), and non-profit organisations (e.g. Misk Art Institute – Riyadh, Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation, Abu Dhabi). I have authored, edited and contributed to several books, magazines and dailies with titles including Assouline, Skira, Rizzoli, and Kaph Books, and also produce non-selling publications for a variety of clients. In addition to being a frequent panellist, jurist, and moderator, I also give workshops on art and culture from the region, and art writing.

From 2016–2018, I was Director of Art Dubai, the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia’s foremost international art fair. During my time there, the fair enjoyed its largest and most globally diverse editions to date and presented a robust non-profit programme. Preceding this, I wrote about art from the Arab world and Iran for titles including The New York TimesCNN OnlineThe Art Newspaper, Artforum, Artsy, Artnet, Wallpaper* and The National, among others, as well as for artist monographs and exhibition catalogues.

Prior to this, I was Editor of Canvas, the premier magazine for visual art from the region, where I worked from 2007–2015, overseeing the production of the title’s affiliate newspapers, catalogues and luxury art books.

I am proud to say that I am recognised as one of the region’s leading cultural commentators. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2001 from the American University in Dubai. I have been based in the UAE for over four decades, and live in Dubai with my husband and two children.
