Launched in 2019, The Art of Dialogue is a series of cultural talks designed to encourage artistic and creative explorations through discussions with key protagonists operating in the local and regional arena. Held at the ESAG Design Hub at d3, the inaugural session (July 2019), ‘Art as Identity’, welcomed HE Noura Al Kaabi, UAE Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, and artists Emirati Ammar Al Attar and Iraqi Rand Abdul Jabbar deliberate the concept of identity vis a vis new technologies and urbanisation. The second session (September 2019), ‘A Collector’s Journey’, saw HE Zaki Al Nusseibeh, Minister of State and Director of Sheikh Zayed’s Press Office, discuss his beginnings as a collector and the growth of the regional art industry. The third session (January 2020), ‘Meet the Cultural Trailblazers’, saw pioneering Emirati creatives Nujoom Al Ghanem and Mohammed Kazem examine the evolution of the local art scene from the 1970s to present day.

My role within The Art of Dialogue includes identifying topics and panellists, reaching out to them directly, authoring the talk description and conducting a pre-session brief. I am also involved in putting together guest and press lists, and of course moderating the sessions.
